Netsize, a French-based global wireless solution enabler, has signed a collaboration pact with Macro Kiosk Pte Ltd, Singapore in April 2006. The collaboration brings forward exciting opportunities for expansion, for both Netsize and MACROKIOSK Group of Companies.
The collaboration delineates from MACROKIOSK's strong presence in the Asia Pacific region and Netsize's strong presence in United States and Europe. The collaboration effort will see Netsize expanding its business avenue to Asia Pacific, through MACROKIOSK's mobile messaging gateway - etracker, starting off with Singapore, Thailand and China. Text Messaging As An Aid To Teachers.
The momentum of SMS is seeing more prominence with the adoption from schools, colleges and universities. With the power of today's mobile phones and mobile messaging technology, schools can now revolutionize the way in which they communicate with the students and their families. SMS allows the schools to offer an unrivalled level of service to the students and parents.
Learning EDvantage Pte Ltd (LEAD), a Singapore-based company specializing in online education, has successfully launched its Learning Management System (LMS) - a portal that promotes resource sharing amongst teachers via the internet.
LEAD, in partnership with Macro Kiosk Pte Ltd, Singapore takes a quantum leap by incorporating an SMS system in their LMS system to facilitate the 'absence monitoring' errand. Leveraging on this robust solution, schools can now opt for an easy, time saving and faultless way to report real time student absenteeism to the parents or guardians. Parents and guardians are automatically alerted via SMS messages to their mobile phones when their child is absent from school. The efficiency of this speedy alert will help reduce the numbers of truancy in school.
The inherent benefits of SMS are boundless, giving schools and universities all the potential to explore the possibilities of SMS.
SMS Campaign Nets RM73,000 For Earthquake Victims.
The SMS campaign stretched from 21st October 2005 to 30th April 2006, and all Malaysian mobile subscribers are able to donate in multiples of RM2 or RM5 via SMS. The SMS campaign successfully collected a total of RM73,000 as of 31st January 2006. MACROKIOSK donated the proceeds to the funds as part of our contribution and offered free SMS technological services including hundred man-hours by the management and staff to drive and support the campaign.
We felt that as the Mobile Messaging Gateway to Asia, we could easily provide a convenient avenue for Malaysians to donate towards alleviating the suffering of the quake victims. It is in this sprit of lending hands that we, at MACROKIOSK are happy to be able to contribute our efforts and services to this noble project of PEACE Malaysia.
