SMS - Beyond Point-To-Point Communication!
The emergence of technology has seen snail mail and e-mail being eclipsed by a more superior channel - the SMS. Many organizations from different industries have now integrated SMS into its below-the-line promotions and marketing strategies.
Corporate companies and large organizations have seen mobile phones as a communication medium that offers immediate and precise response - a medium which enables organization to 'kill many birds with one stone'. Large organizations such as banks now employ SMS not only as a channel to fuel awareness, but also to garner overwhelming responses from people.
Be on the lookout for giant billboards and outdoor banners the next time you drive around in the city or at the highway. You might catch very enticing and interesting billboards where mobile phones are featured as the response medium, and SMS as the response channel.
In a nutshell, mobile phones are the next natural marketing channel for organizations and corporations who want a fresh and engaging means to drive sales and to launch promotions.
