While Malaysia is fortunate to be free of many natural disasters that plague other countries in the region, the country nonetheless has its share of tragedies.

The huge flood that left many people on the East Coast and Southern region of Peninsular Malaysia without homes and livelihoods in December 2006 is an example of this.

However, the compassionate nature of Malaysians is such that help is never far behind.

As a caring homegrown company, MACROKIOSK made a donation of RM1,000 to help alleviate the burden of those affected by the flood. The donation, contributed to the MSC Malaysia Flood Victims Fund, was used to purchase essential items for the school-going children of Orang Asli (indigenous people) villagers.
